javascript - Is there a cross-browser solution for getSelection()? -

I need to create a comment mechanism in which the user highlights a piece of text, click on "Comment on" Does, and then does something. The javascript code is not only the selected text (it is trivial), but anchoroffset needs to be known, to find out which character was selected from the text.

You can try, which creates a selection in IE object and getSelection () Adds the window to the method. I do not think this is correct but it's about the best standalone range / selection library which I have seen.

I have been working on a range / selection library called Rangy which goes beyond the IERange offers. An initial release is available.
