jquery - custom rule error -

I have added a rule to my form but I do not understand why it does not work!

This is an example page: The rule is that the check box should be checked and should be a valid date. From the Firefox console I can see that it gives the right or wrong as I want, but the verification can not be started.

Why is that so?
