This is done by flash Each "video" listed is a flash movie showing a still image, when you mouse over an event handler on the flash script on it and start playing the snippet. When it detects "mouse out" it stops playing the movie.

So you will need something similar. A flash movie, which takes the URL some space on the Internet in an arbitrary film file. Flash film loads a little bit of that film and shows the film for the first time when the movie loads. When you are found on a mouse, you play loaded snippets, and you stop playback on the mouse.

The URL will be something that will make your search engine available.

I'm sure you can do it with Silverlight even if it's your favorite toolkit.
