I hope someone can help me here I am a successful AJAX using Django, jquery and jquery form validation plugin Can not call. I am trying to pass a form email address to see if it is present in DB or not. But the response to the server on AJAX request is 404. In Firebug, I can see that the request being sent is formatted correctly.
The request has been sent:
is urls.py: (r '^ xEmailExists / (? P \ d +) $', 'Hwa.website.views.root.xEmailExists '),
and the following method are signed in my hwa.website.views.root view file: def xEmailExists (request, email):
I have a problem with my URL configuration I'm using Django 1.1 bet
. Does that URL cause interaction (or manually trying to navigate) a 404?
Anything about the URL for the Ajax requests is not really magical, they are still the URL - like you would like to have a url as a demo app.
There are some problems with r '^ xEmailExists / (? P \ d +) $'
as long as I'm really deprived of sleep:
- < Li> You are using without a name -
- You <
\ d +
- match 1 or more digits (i.e. 0-9) Eat you probably want to match all the characters for e-mail verification. - In addition, what is meant by passing e-mail as a query string - why not just
http: // 127.0.0.1:8000/xEmailExists/joeblow%40test.cc
?
?
Hope there is some help! If I spoil Reggae Milan, then I apologize - this is one of those things that is right for me to correct, and I have not tested my response.
