Interesting Python system utilities you have made? -

I'm slowly but surely I'm reading Python myself. Learning the best by doing this I am looking for some kind of productive type of procedures which I can try to prove that you have been useful to yourself. Some of the modules I have successfully created and used include:

  • Zip a folder
  • Zip full set of folders in a folder as an automatic backup
  • App Launcher which opens my most frequently used programs at startup

But now I'm stuck in a while. what else can I do?

I have written a script that is a type of physical security token of my cellphone's Bluetooth id. When PC (Windows) starts with sleep, it scans for nearby Bluetooth devices, and if it does not find my phone, then lock the workstation

Noble, and much more Not safe, but serves its purpose.

"Scans for Bluetooth devices intended to resume on" Windows and lock the computer if no special device is present. "Import Bluetooth" imported CTIP import # Bluetooth UID "token" device wanted = "XX: XX: XX: XX: XX: XX" Print "is checking ..." #Hack .... if 0 If the device exists, then YellowBlaze has passed an exception = wrong attempt: search = Bluetooth.discover_devices () if you want to know: print "got phone" passed = true second: pass = empty left: passed = false If not passed: Printing "locking" ctypes.windll.user32.LockWorkStation () < HTML>
