I am using a lightweight serverless database engine such as a solitaire, firebird, or vustadibie in the upcoming project.
Asked about someone.
I would like to know what are the disadvantages of using vestadibi vs other techniques?
UPDATE (07/13/2010): Vista DB out of business (real loss)
I have just learned that Infinite Codex (which is the company) Who owns and creates Vistaadibi) is going out of business and office is August 1, 2010.
UPDATE (02/11/2011): VistaDB product back in business!
Before the closing of your door, the VistaDB software for the VistaDB product is now alive and for the time being ....
update: outside of VistaDBI business
- License Does not allow publishing statistics, so how exactly is it not well documented in comparison to SQLite or Firebird?
- The SQLite community is so big that you are probably better off (But Vista DB also has a commercial support, so it's a benefit on your profit)
- 100% managed, which means that if you ever have a non-.NET project If you need access to the database, you can not (but there are also 100% managed profits too)
- Small company products are heavily dependent on any product, think about the new company Release or support it If not, what will it be? If you take your vistadi-specific code out, it can be reduced, but there is something to think about it.
- Cost IMO This is a very small problem, but some have to consider.
